Our well-known client is looking to add a Structural project manager to support them on their projects to their team on an ongoing contract.
This is a great opportunity for a seasoned PM who is looking to play an important role on the team and work at their three plants in Nova Scotia.
This is a mobile role that requires travel within Nova Scotia.

Responsibilities
What you will be doing
- Providing leadership and project management during the design and construction of infrastructure projects
- Meeting with internal partners to determine functional specifications for the project
- Providing final scope, schedule, and cost to the partners and answering any questions they may have
- Participating in design reviews throughout the life of the project design
- Ensuring the risk analysis is presented to the team for the technical concepts for all systems and equipment
- Proposing a system to evaluate and grade tender responses
- Participating in pre-construction meetings and providing input to value add the construction process
- Visiting the project construction sites regularly
- Tracking system installation and comparing to milestones and identifying any conflicts or late milestone completion
- Responding to RFIs and evaluating Change Orders
- Attending weekly contractor and safety meetings
- Inspecting completed areas and recording acceptance or non-acceptance
- Checking all drawings against physical installation
Qualifications
What you bring
- Engineering Degree (Structural)
- 10+ years experience in the project management of industrial projects
- P. Eng (a strong asset)
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of MS Excel, Project, and Word

10% balance of work from home. The expectation is that the Contractor is working from their home base in Bridgewater or travelling to other plant facilities in Waterville and Granton to follow up and check the status of ongoing assigned project work.
