Responsibilities :

  • Provide support for remote sites in and around theregion.
  • After hours oncall supportfor requested sites.
  • Installconfigure and maintain complex hardware and software systems in thefield .
  • Develop and implement systemmaintenance procedures to ensure maximumuptime.
  • Manage and monitor client networks andsystems including servers routers switches andfirewalls.
  • Create and maintain documentation ofhardware and software systems andprocedures.
  • Provideexceptional customer service to clients ensuring their needs andconcerns are addressed in a timely and professionalmanner.
  • Act asa liaison between clients and vendors to ensure effectivecommunication and resolution ofissues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned bymanagement.
  • Provide supportto other HPIT support teams asneeded.
  • Participate in operational meetings asrequired
  • LAN and Voice MACDknowledge / skills
  • Maintain and update existing network infrastructure.This includes :
  • Add connectivity between labs offices and networkequipment via copper andfibre
  • Where required maintain inventory of spare equipmentoperating supplies and cables. This will include creating and / ormaintaining spreadsheets and / or other documentation regardinginventory levels.
  • Hardware Depot / Hardware Recovery Centresupport
  • Loaner equipmentmanagement.
  • Parts Ordering and inventorymanagement.
  • Shipping and Receivingmanagement.
  • Provision authentication hardware like active smartcards Active Keys and smart card readers for users using HPinternal systems.

  • Vehicle andLicense.
  • English & LocalLanguage.
  • At least 24 years ofexperience in a technical support or IT field engineeringrole.
  • Ability to manage schedule onmultiple projects.
  • Transparentcommunication.
  • Proven work Experience in therole.
  • Advance knowledge of WindowsOS (Mac Linux is a bonus).
  • Practical Experience in therole.
  • Excellent problemsolvingskills.
  • Organisational andinterpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel tocustomers as required.
