Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Perform tasks as requested efficiently and accurately, using standard methods and techniques;
  • Aquatic, groundwater, and / or surface water investigations and monitoring;
  • Safely conducting and leading field work, field data collection, and documentation;
  • Providing technical expertise and / or support for aquatic, hydrogeologic, and / or hydrologic investigations and monitoring;
  • Working with engineers, geologists, hydrogeologists, biologists, data managers, and other environmental scientists to contribute to larger multidisciplinary projects;
  • Tracking and reporting on field activity; and
  • Preparing supporting documentation for reports, data checking & assessments.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in environmental studies;
  • At least 5 years of practical experience in environmental monitoring;
  • Class 5 driver’s licence;
  • Experience in either the oil and gas industry or mining is considered an asset; and
  • Familiarity with Argo operation would be beneficial.
