Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Claims Adjuster to join our team in Burnaby, British Columbia. This is a full-time, field-based position involving travel and on-site claim evaluations. The successful candidate will evaluate claims through loss investigation and negotiate settlements in accordance with provincial licensing restrictions and requirements, while maintaining adequate production levels and customer relationships. The base salary for this position is between $72,000 - $100,000 annually (salary is open for negotiation and based on skills and experience).
Responsibilities
- Investigation, collection, and analysis of claims information
- Accurate recording, reporting and file maintenance
- Examines policies and claims settlement within Provincial licensing regulations
- Employment and professional expectations
- Work with manager to maintain client relations
Qualifications
2 - 5 years functional / technical experience in an insurance environmentKnowledge of commercial and personal lines will be considered an assetPost-secondary education in an insurance related field working towards full independent adjusting license and CIP designationAbility to conduct telephone investigations, evaluate, negotiate and settle first and third party commercial lines claimsProficient in maintaining accurate and detailed activity, transaction and reserve recordsExcellent communication skillsMust be a team player with a strong commitment to quality and customer serviceCommitment to continuous learningReliable transportation requiredValid driver's license is requiredRegular travel to loss sites is required#J-18808-Ljbffr
