Applied® Industrial Technologies is a leading value‑added distributor of bearings, power transmission products and engineered fluid power components across Canada. We are looking for a qualified and motivated specialist to join our Brossard team (remote for locations within 50 km). The successful candidate must be bilingual in French and English.

Responsibilities
- Create and manage the development of project scope and functional specification documents.
- Control system design and selection of components.
- Handle all aspects of application programming (ECU logic, HMI graphics, web‑based APIs, etc.).
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to develop and deliver unique solutions to customers.
- Maintain program files and technical documents.
- Design and specify electrical harnesses.
- Provide support and expertise during project commissioning and aftermarket support.
- Offer internal and external consultation on projects.
- Use technology and applications to support sales growth.
- Provide troubleshooting support for new and existing applications.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and explore opportunities to enhance Applied’s product and service offerings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Post‑secondary education in Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering or an Engineering Technology Diploma.5+ years of programming ECUs or microcontrollers on hydraulic and mechanical equipment.Extensive knowledge and experience in CoDeSys, Plus+1, Qt, C, and C++; programming in Danfoss Plus1 is mandatory.Bilingual (French / English) proficiency.Strong understanding of electrical integration and wiring harness development.Extensive experience with CANBUS communication.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Knowledge of functional safety standards (ISO 13849, ISO 26262) is an asset.Electrification experience is considered an asset.Collaborative with the ability to build and maintain relationships within and outside the organization.Excellent communication skills for conveying detailed project information at all levels.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with urgency and meet strict deadlines.Demonstrated troubleshooting capability on‑site and remotely.Strong presentation skills.Willingness to travel as required (less than 25 %).Benefits
