The Role

At STRIVE, we are partnered with an exciting client and a leader in their industry. They are currently seeking a skilled Press Manager to join their team at their Burnaby facility.

The Press Manager will be responsible for supporting and supervising the activities of the Printing Press teams across all 3 shifts and will play an integral part of the team.

This role directly reports to the Plant Manager.

This will be a Monday-Friday position with a starting time of 7 AM - 3 PM.

Responsibilities :

  • Supervise the activities of workers who set-up and operate flexographic printing presses.
  • Lead and develop the printing press employees to build high-performance teams.
  • Assist the Scheduling Manager in developing machines and managing schedules.
  • Assist in analyzing and implementing process flow improvements, new systems and procedures in the Press.
  • Assist the Quality Control Manager to follow and develop company quality control procedures and train staff.
  • Consult with the Maintenance Technicians to troubleshoot operator problems and support the Maintenance team when required.
  • Participate in company-wide audits.
  • Participate in improving the cleanliness and organization of the production area.
  • Support health and safety priorities and assist in training staff.
  • Prepare management reports for the Plant Manager.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned.

Must Have's :

  • 5+ years of experience leading a team in a manufacturing environment within a similar environment
  • Direct experience in flexographic printing press operation.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Excellent leadership skills and the ability to gain respect from employees.

Compensation :

  • $80,000 annually
