ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Control and manage all aspects of a project understand the scope of services Ensure that the clients' vision for their building is met Work directly with Directors, Principals and upper management Prepare project work plan, monitor project budget, schedule and hours Main point of contact for the life cycle of the project Liaise with project stakeholders, clients, consultants, contractors, authorities having jurisdiction & upper management Direct and oversee high-quality documentation, provide guidance with technical detail to develop construction drawings & specifications Review, perform code reviews of construction documents for quality assurance Develop / lead preparation of permit packages, tender packages and administer tendering process Lead client & consultant coordination meetings Manage Contract Administration process, able to work independently and handle RFI’s, site visits, field reports, & submittal review Ability to drive the project forward towards successful completion / Motivates and challenges others to perform at their best QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture degree Minimum 7 to 10 years professional experience Licensed Architect preferred Strong technical proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office Ability to lead and work within a team environment Must possess an exceptional high level of communication and leadership skills to supervise staff Strong communication skills are required in this position (written and verbal) as you will liaise with the client and lead, coordinate with multi-disciplinary consultant team Strong technical knowledge of current building codes, building construction, details and building science Ability to manage multiple projects Ability to takes ownership of tasks and project deliverables Comfortable dealing with project stakeholders, clients, consultants, contractors, authorities having jurisdiction & upper management Strong leadership, critical thinking, effective problem solving and decision-making skills Team player, adaptable and has a positive attitude Ideally have institutional experience in the healthcare, justice, research and sport facility areas of practice Powered by JazzHR
