Job Title : Hydraulic Technician
Location : Winnipeg, Manitoba
Our client, a leading hydraulic repair company, is seeking a dedicated Hydraulic Technician to join their team. This role is part of a strategic growth plan to accommodate succession planning and backfilling due to retirements.
The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Service Manager, joining a team of approximately 10 skilled professionals.
About the Role : The Hydraulic Technician will be responsible for dismantling, inspecting, repairing, and testing hydraulic products with quality workmanship.
This role requires mechanical expertise to ensure customers receive the best possible solutions within scheduled due dates.
Key Responsibilities :
- Disassemble and inspect incoming customer products for wear and damage, including hydraulic cylinders, motors, pumps, valves, and other components.
- Provide the Service Writer with an assessment of work to be performed, including estimated labor hours and parts required.
- Troubleshoot, test, and / or install hydraulic products and systems both in the shop and on-site.
- Gather necessary tools and manuals to complete the scope of work.
- Ensure work is performed safely, on-time, and with quality workmanship.
- Provide a written, complete scope of work performed to the Service Manager.
- Ensure finished components and units are thoroughly cleaned and prepared for shipping.
- Clean and maintain equipment and workstation daily.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications :
- Previous mechanical experience and mechanical aptitude are essential.
- Previous hydraulic knowledge and / or hydraulic repairs are considered an asset.
- Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment, follow specific repair guidelines, and interpret diagrams and drawings if necessary.
- Must provide basic tools for repair.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.

Compensation and Benefits :
- Salary : $50,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on experience, with a hiring bonus available.
- Employment Type : Full-time, Permanent.
- Benefits : Comprehensive plan (including drug and dental) after probation, RRSP options, and 2 weeks standard vacation.
- Work Schedule : Monday to Friday, with potential for overtime. Some travel involved within Winnipeg and surrounding areas.
