RVA is seeking an Intermediate Transportation Design Technologist to work on a variety of transportation infrastructure projects that support and enhance community mobility. The role requires contributing to multimodal projects involving roadways, highways, bridges, traffic engineering, and transportation planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and technical expertise on multi‑disciplinary projects
• Participate in studies, assessments, modeling, and design using AutoCAD / Civil 3D and Bentley MicroStation InRoads / OpenRoads
• Contribute to reports, drawings, and other engineering documents
• Prepare designs for municipal road reconstructions, water / sewer systems, site grading, and stormwater management
• Communicate with clients, consultants, and contractors under supervision
• Collaborate with project teams to meet deadlines and budgets
• Prepare tender and contract documents, including specifications, quantities, and construction estimates
• Mentor junior engineers and technologists as needed
