Job Title : Welder and Fabricator

Job Description

Candidates will be working in an open area within the shop, paired with another welder to double-team each rack. This is production welding in a jobbing shop, handling custom orders for the restaurant, medical, and food industries.

Responsibilities include assembling racks and washers, then TIG welding them together, primarily using 12, 14, 16, and 18 gauge stainless steel, mostly 16 gauge.

Additional tasks include bolting and attaching parts to the washer, putting on doors, hinges, latches, windows, stud welding, screwing, inserting gaskets, sawing pipes, and drilling.

Candidates will also read, interpret, and follow drawings, BOMs, and other specifications to determine welding and fabricating requirements, ensuring all products meet specified tolerances while adhering to quality standards.

The fabrication process includes preparation, layout, forming, deburring, grinding, weld cleaning, and finishing.

Work Environment

Shift : 6 : 00 AM - 2 : 30 PM, Monday - Friday. The shop is a clean environment with a total of about 44 shop workers including fabricators, press operators, welders, and laborers.

This will be a contract position for 6 months, with the potential to extend if new projects are acquired. Candidates need to provide their helmets and boots.
