To fulfill our operational needs, we are currently recruiting a Part-time SeniorDelivery Driver with a Class 5 Driver’s License to make local deliveries for our BC division.
Position Summary :
We are currently recruiting a Part-time Senior Delivery Driver with a Class 5 Driver’s License to make local deliveries for our BC division.
The role involves frequent movement and lifting, and the driver will operate a 5-ton truck to deliver goods to restaurants and retail stores in Vancouver Island areas, including Nanaimo and Victoria.
Working Hours :
- Saturday and / or Sunday may be required
- Start working at 4 : 00am
Responsibilities :
- Operate 5-ton straight truck in accordance to company’s delivery standard operating procedures and the Motor Vehicle Act.
- Conduct inspections of vehicles before departing to deliver goods.
- Pack and load products onto trucks according to the company’s specifications.
- Deliver orders to customers, including restaurants and retail stores, on assigned routes.
- Unload goods as per client specifications; all goods must be delivered inside business premises.
- Move objects using a power jack tool.
- Obtain delivery confirmations / signatures from each customer.
- Check inventory against invoices with customers.
- Review deliveries with customers to ensure products meet their needs.
- Collect cash, cheques, or CODs when required.
Requirements / Must-Haves :
- Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving abstract.
- Related delivery experience.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to drive a commercial truck and operate a lift gate.
- Able to work on Saturday and Sunday
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Conversational English Skills.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
Assets / Nice-to-Haves :
- At least 2 years of experience operating 5-ton trucks
- Previous experience using electric power jacks
