Position Type / Schedule : This is a full-time position with the possibility of working in a hybrid arrangement.

About the role : We are experiencing an exciting growth trajectory at E.B Horsman, which creates new opportunities for motivated individuals who can help to drive our company forward.

We are looking for a knowledgeable and collaborative Technology Manager who can deliver results and work well within a team.

This role will be reporting directly to the VP, of Technology and Digital Solutions.

What you will be great at :

  • Technology team manager & leader : support and develop team members, prioritize workload, and deliver key outcomes. Contribute as a member of the Digital & Technology management team, including handling escalations, resolving confidential staffing issues, measuring and tracking team KPIs, organizing technology roadmaps, presenting at AGMs, and assisting with budgeting.
  • Technical expertise and proficiency : an experienced system administrator the team can rely on with Microsoft 365, Veeam, VMWare, Active Directory, hybrid environments (cloud / on-premise), Azure, Meraki, Palo Alto, Citrix, Ring Central VOIP, asset management, etc.
  • Hands-on technical contributor in day-to-day operations including but not limited to infrastructure support, monitoring, patching, maintenance, and troubleshooting for both server and desktop.

Responsible for ensuring team documentation is accurate and complete.

Cyber security IRP and DRP experience; both theoretical and tactical. Experienced responding to cyber incidents. Aware of compliance regulations in the security space.

Familiar with Zero Trust framework and principles.

Takes accountability : responsible for critical infrastructure including backups and recovery, network, communications, and cyber incidents.

Must be willing and able to work after hours as required.

Manage relationships with managed service providers, vendors, and contractors, including negotiation and authorization of hardware, software, and service acquisitions, support contracts, and service level agreements.

You bring the following skills / qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Information Systems, or 10 years of equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience, including 3 years in leadership with direct experience in a Windows-based, M365 environment.
  • Hands-on experience with incident response strategies.
  • Proven success in building infrastructure strategies to enable business growth and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written, and presentation) and documentation skills.
  • Experience implementing change management processes.
  • Experience managing service providers.
  • Working knowledge of ticketing systems (e.g. FreshDesk).
