Job Description :
This Financial Controller will be responsible for the following :
- Banking / cash flow
- Payables / payments
- Invoicing / collections
- Fixed assets prepare, account and report on fixed asset purchases, disposals, amortization schedules
- Inventory - financial controls on inventory management are adhered in order to ensure movement of inventory is appropriately managed and accounted for
- Payroll oversee, review and approve the payroll reports for both internal payroll staff and external subcontractor labour
- Financial reporting conduct month end close procedures, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations and report on balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement as compared to prior year and budget for review with the president
- Budgets annually prepare, review and communicate balance sheet, income statement and cash flow budgets to ensure alignment on the strategic goals and financial expectations of the company for the current and next 3 fiscal years;
- Year end review
- Ad hoc analysis - provide the president with information vital to any decision-making process, analysis and reporting to control costs of goods, miscellaneous projects and material procurement to drive improved profit margins
- Controls - Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures, assess current accounting operations, offer recommendations for improvements and implement new processes

- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in a related field
- Hands on full cycle Controller
- Ideally from construction, engineering, manufacturing or project related industry (something with job costing)
- Excellent communications (working with financial and non financial stakeholders)
