What & Why :

As a result of continued focus on technology, our client is looking to add a AWS Architect to their cloud infrastructure team to help with the modernization of their cloud infrastructure.

This role would suit someone who is hands on technically and comfortable doing solution architecture. You will be responsible for connecting with other architects across the organization and setting the stands for architecture in the organization.

It would be ideal if you came from an engineer background in the past. This is a really exciting time to join this industry leader as they continue to forge their path forward.

They have invested majorly in technology and have had an incredibly successful past few years, including a major strategic acquisition.

They have an all-star leadership team who keeps you accountable and provides support while still affording you tremendous autonomy.

They are located close to rapid transit in newly renovated offices in downtown Vancouver and have a hybrid work model, 3 days a week in office.

You :

You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role :

  • 6+ years’ experience working with AWS Cloud
  • Develop detailed solution roadmaps and ensure implementation aligns with design expectations through collaboration with engineers and project managers.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, participating in architecture design reviews, and contributing to the Architecture Community of Practice.
  • Lead the definition of project requirements, success criteria, and guide design throughout the development lifecycle, while proactively aligning with key stakeholders.
  • Provide governance and enablement in cloud-based services, leveraging deep experience with AWS, Terraform, microservices, and serverless architectures at an enterprise scale.

Compensation : $90 - $100 per hour
