Job Description The role primarily involves servicing and optimizing residential and commercial wastewater treatment systems.
Technicians are assigned specific sites, taking ownership to enhance treatment performance. Responsibilities include field servicing, sampling, troubleshooting, data analysis, and reporting.
Secondary duties include overseeing site installations, addressing customer inquiries, and responding to alarm calls. Adherence to internal and external health and safety policies is crucial.
Technicians act as ambassadors, consistently representing the employer's brand.
Requirements
- Must have strong organizational skills
- Must have strong troubleshooting skills
- Experience with common hand / power tools
- Ability to interpret and follow production, electrical, and design drawings
- Basic electrical and plumbing knowledge required
- Work independently, as well as assisting other technicians on occasion
- Graduate of Environmental Technician or related program. Wastewater Operator-in-Training (OIT) Certification preferred
- Experience with Ontario Building Code (OBC) and Ministry of Environment Conservation and Parks (MECP) regulations is considered an asset
- Clean Valid Ontario Driver’s License (G designation or greater), with a good driving record
- A willingness to travel throughout Ontario, as travel is required with this position. There will also be periodic overnight stays
- English proficiency strong verbal and written communication skills are required
- Available to work forty (40) hours per week
- Ability to lift seventy (70) pounds
- Comfortability working outside in all-season environments
- Experience with ExpandIT, Business Central 365, or Microsoft Applications is considered an asset
