OPPORTUNITY

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Attendant to join our Warehouse team for a 12-month contract.

The Macassa Mine is a high-grade gold producer, with grade improving at depth, and a key valuation driver for Agnico Eagle.

Located in the Town of Kirkland Lake, Ontario, the Macassa Mine remains one of the highest gold grade mines in the world.

Macassa commenced operations in 2002, and with the discovery of the South Mine Complex has been able to increase its level of production significantly over the past five years.

The mine is located in an area with well-developed infrastructure, including a provincial highway, a railway system and a private airport.

High-grade ore is processed at the Macassa Mill, which currently has available capacity and is located in close proximity to the mine.

A Warehouse Attendant is an entry level role to our warehousing team and receives, stores and distributes material, tools, equipment and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.

All transactions are recorded in the inventory system which means that computer skills along with manual handling make up the function of the role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities will include :

Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and storing or distributing as required.

Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.

Complete reservation forms to order supplies from other departments, file requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distribute items to designated storage area.

Assemble orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area for distribution.

Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.

Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.

Assist in counting of physical inventory.

Weigh, record, reconcile and count items for distribution within site ensuring conformance to company standards.

Prepare parcels for mailing

Housekeeping keep work areas clean and free from hazards.

Communication from and with others, keeping accurate records, aligning with daily tasks assigned.

Teamwork complete set tasks and actively assist others to complete their tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

Technical aptitude and ability to learn different computer software

Capability to work in a fast-paced physical working environment.

Ability to work both independently and as a team.

Comfortable in all types of working conditions including confined spaces, low light, heights, hot, cold, and humid temperatures.

Demonstrated safety awareness.
