Compensation & Benefits Information
- Rate of pay ranges from: $40.24 to $57.68, as per the Ontario Nurses Association (ONA) Collective Agreement

- Benefits coverage and paid vacation specific to Permanent Full-time positions

Requirements specific to Medical/Surgical Floor:
- Applicants must be registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing.
- Must possess a current B.C.L.S. Certificate
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
- Must be willing to be assigned to other nursing areas as required
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision
- Demonstrated ability to attend work promptly and regularly and to maintain same
- Must illustrate superior customer service, telephone skills, demonstrate professionalism, courteous approach with the public and staff
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be able to work independently and collaboratively with all members of the health care team
- Must maintain principles of confidentiality
- Bilingualism (French and English) to be considered an asset
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements specific to the Emergency Department & Intensive Care Unit:
- A graduate from an approved school of nursing (university or community college) with a current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BCLS)
- IV initiation & CVAD skills
- Current certification in Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS)
- Must have CTAS certification at time of employment or obtain within first 3 months of employment
- TNCC certification (preferred, but not required)
- PALS certification (preferred, but not required)
- Advanced cardiac monitoring preferred
- A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of Med/Surgical Unit experience in a hospital setting
- A minimum of 1 year emergency/intensive care experience in a hospital setting is preferred
- Demonstrate regular work attendance
- Working knowledge of computers
- Read and write English
- French is an asset
- Shift work is a requirement including days, nights, evenings, and weekends
- Be available for transfers when required
