Position Summary
The Product Manager is Otodata’s product champion : they define the strategic product vision and roadmap, they identify customer needs and the larger business objectives that a product or feature will fulfill, they articulate what success looks like for a product, and they rally the broader Ototdata team to turn that vision into a reality
Main Respoinsabilities
- Define and execute Otodata's overall product vision, strategy and roadmap.
- Develop deep understanding of customers, their needs and willingness to pay across current and new markets.
- Act as product general manager leading the definition and development of "winning products" for Otodata's customers, including : Target customer segment and need;
- Product business case; Launch specification inclusive of target segment; value proposition and go-to-market; Pricing, Ongoing feature and customer expansion roadmap;
Prioritization of all product requests (e.g., new features, enhancements, modifications, bug fixes, etc.)
- Work closely with Program Management (PMO) and R&D to champion products through the NPI gate process.
- Work closely with Software Product Owner (PO) to define the SW requirements for the portfolio as well as the ongoing SW development roadmap.
- Work closely with the Sales and Customer Support teams to gather customer feedback, to evangelize Otodata's product vision and educate and train the sales and CSR team on product value proposition, features, etc.
Education / Experience / Certification
- Bachelor of Engineering, or bachelor’s degree in commerce or related field.
- MBA or master’s degree is an asset.
- Over 5 years experience in production management or related field.
- Experience with IoT products / solutions is highly desirable.
Knowledge
- Analytical and quantitative skills; experience using hard data to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
- Customer insight development experience (e.g., preparing and conducting voice of the customer, utilizing surveys and market research, etc.)
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong writing skills and excellent presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Bilingualism (French and English) oral and written.
