Areyou an individual who thrives in a fastpaced environment Are youseeking a new sales challenge Our client is seeking an experiencedOutside Sales Representative who lives in the Greater Ottawaregion.

With a strong knowledge and passion for commercial buildingmaterials you will maximize sales within an assigned territorywhile building and maintaining strong client relations identifyingnew opportunities and closing deals.

Reporting directly to theSalesDirector.

ResponsibilitiesandDuties :

  • Identifythe needs of customers both new and existing and maintain productdemand forretailers
  • Buildand maintain effective relationships with customers by following upon estimates and remaining in touch with potential leads andreferrals
  • Preparequotes and estimates and ensure orders are processed effectivelywith the internalteam
  • Remainup to date on products and technical information with existing andupcoming productlines
  • Providecustomers with updates on order shipments and respond to inquiriesasneeded
  • Managestore sets utilizing plan grams; physically build store railingdisplays asspecified
  • Maintaina strong understanding of market trends territory and productofferings
  • Workcollaboratively with internal teams to prepare salesrelateddocumentation
  • Brainstormideas and concepts on how to better servicecustomers
  • Monitorand meet sales goals andtargets
  • Shareproduct applications sales and marketing knowledge with teammembers through huddles andpresentations

Requirements

  • 5years sales experience in the building materials industry
  • Postsecondaryeducation in Business Communications Marketing or a related fieldis anasset
  • Strongknowledge and market comprehension of building materials andtrades
  • Knowledgeof Microsoft Suite ofPrograms
  • Abilityto communicate effectively at all levels both verbally and inwriting
  • Effectivepresentation skills to market products and offerings to thecustomerbase
  • Superiorrelationship management skills with a focus on establishing andmaintaining connections with employees andcustomers
  • Abilityto effectively manage multiple competing priorities with a sense ofurgency to meetdeadlines
  • Strongattention to detail with the ability to solveproblems
  • Selfdrivenand focused on achieving results; ability to stay motivated whiledealing withrejection
  • Physicalability to lift heavy boxes / objects up to 50lbs when building outstoresets
  • Mustbe comfortable in travelling frequently; overnight whenrequired
