In this role youlllead a team of talented engineers drive highprofile projects fromstart to finish and play a key role in shaping the future of theirengineering department.
KeyResponsibilities
Lead and mentora team of mechanical engineers fostering a culture of collaborationinnovation and accountability.
Provide dailygoal setting task management and feedback to ensure teamperformance aligns with organizationalobjectives.
Represent the engineering team incustomer pitches meetings and presentations.
Act as a technical liaison between customers and the teamtranslating client needs into actionable engineeringtasks.
Oversee the full project lifecycle fromconcept to production ensuring projects are completed on timewithin budget and meet all quality standards.
Proactively manage project risks troubleshoot issues and optimizeprocesses.
Actively participate in technicalproblemsolving including handson involvement in design prototypingand troubleshooting.
Ensure that allengineering work aligns with industry standards and cuttingedgepractices in injection molding and automotive partsmanufacturing.
Conduct annual reviews setindividual and team performance goals and provide continuousfeedback.
Develop and implement professionaldevelopment plans to grow the skills of the engineeringteam.
Work closely with other departmentsincluding production quality assurance and sales to ensure seamlesscoordination and delivery of projects.
Drivecontinuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team andthe overall shop operations.
Leverage emergingtechnologies and methodologies to enhance productivity quality andefficiency.
Ensure all engineering activitiesadhere to safety regulations quality standards and industrycertifications particularly within automotive manufacturing andhigh pressure diecasting.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relatedfield.
Minimum of 5 years of experience inmechanical engineering with at least 3 years in a leadership ormanagerial role preferably in a foundry tool and die or automotivemanufacturing environment.
Expertise in highpressure die casting automotive part design and mechanical systems.
Strong understanding of CAD software and projectmanagement tools.
Demonstrated ability to leadengineering teams manage complex projects and directly engage withcustomers and crossfunctional teams.
Willingnessto get involved in the technical aspects of engineering projectsnot just delegate. A proactive problemsolving mindset isessential.
Strong interpersonal andcommunication skills with the ability to effectively presenttechnical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
International travel 67 times per year. Must have or be able toobtain a passport.
