Job Summary / Overview

The Applications Engineer is responsible for working on a full range of projects to perform complete estimates from receipt of quote inquiries through final proposals. This includes understanding a scope of work, project clarifications and providing structured, detailed estimates. This role is hybrid with 60% in‑office in Burlington, Ontario and 40% remote.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, create, and price standard Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 ETO (Engineered‑to‑Order) solutions and proposals, and as needed, create, and edit CAD (Computer‑Aided Design) drawings.
• Communicate with customers to gather information about their needs and preferences regarding design solutions.
• Provide customers and distributors with application assistance and guidance, through email and phone communication. This may include pre‑sale recommendations, as well as occasional aftermarket consulting.
• Once approved by the customer, provide engineering with detailed scope of work.
• Test products as needed.
• Archive finished proposals for future reference.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
• Travel to on‑site customer for meetings, technical support and installs as needed.
