We have one (1) available position for an NOC, Operator role to join our Network Operations Center (NOC) Team. This is a full-time permanent role, 40 hours per week.
As part of the Network Operations Centre team, you will focus on processing digital newspapers and magazine replicas from around the world and you will provide technical support and services to our international clients and publishing partners.
In this role, you will :
- Be responsible for the production and processing of digital newspapers and magazine replicas from around the world
- Execute the quality control and assurance measures adhering to Service Level Agreements
- Provide technical support and services to our international clients and publishing partners
- Liaise and collaborate with multiple internal and remote departments and teams
- Review NDX e-mail escalations, and ensure they are being handled promptly
- Monitor content processing and ensure titles are being processed / released on time
- Distribute and delegate tasks during a shift (sending Content Processing and Email Assignments)
- Report unhandled or unsolved issues to the next Shift Leader / Senior Admin
- Assist in monitoring team performance
You are a good fit if you meet the following requirements :
- Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or Computing Science or a related field
- Technical and client support experience via email, phone, Skype and remote connection tools
- Understanding of basic networking protocols such as FTP, HTTP, DHCP, DNS, TCP / IP
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Environment and Operating Systems 2000, XP, Vista 7 and 8
- Troubleshooting experience in a Windows network environment
- Experience with remote support tools, Microsoft Outlook and / or other email management suite
- Good oral and written English to communicate effectively in an English work environment
- Ability to work flexible shifts that include night hours and weekends

- Own reliable transportation to work as some shifts are beyond public transportation hours
- Easily adapt to a dynamic environment with constantly changing duties and priorities
- Have a strong interest in the technology sector
Work Location :
PressReader Inc. offers a hybrid work environment to balance the flexibility of working from home and being together to collaborate, celebrate, and connect.
This position is based at our head office 200 - 13111 Vanier Place, Richmond, BC, and requires to be on-premises 3 days a week.
When not in the office, employees have the opportunity to work remotely. In addition, this is a flexible shift, including night hours and weekends (24 / 7).
