We are currently expanding our team and seeking talented Hardware Engineers to contribute to our growing organization.
The Position : Hardware Engineer
We are recruiting Intermediate or Senior Hardware Design Engineers to join our dynamic team. The successful candidates will be responsible for new product designs and supporting existing products, reporting directly to the Hardware Manager.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and test analog, power, and digital circuits, including schematic design (Altium Designer), PCB layout, and fabrication / assembly.
- Perform advanced PCB layout for high-speed digital, analog / linear, and switching power conversion.
- Lead and collaborate on various hardware projects, ensuring products meet industry standards and are delivered on time.
- Contribute to the development of battery packs, monitoring systems, chargers, analysers, and advanced battery testers involving complex signal processing.
- Provide support for debugging and modifying existing designs, including those in production.
Requirements :
- Proficiency in circuit design, including analog, power, and digital circuits.
- Hands-on experience with PCB layout, fabrication, and testing / debugging.
- Advanced skills in PCB layout for high-speed digital, analog / linear, and power conversion circuits.
- Leadership experience and a track record of successful project management.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Strong understanding of DFM / DFT principles.
- Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
- Proven experience in product development from concept to manufacturing.
- Strong debugging skills with tools such as logic analyzers, storage scopes, and protocol debuggers.
- Basic firmware skills are an asset for board debugging and bring-up.
- Knowledge of Safety Agency requirements and design compliance.
- Familiarity with EMI / EMC requirements and mitigation strategies.
- Proven ability to meet project deadlines and goals, with realistic target completion estimates.
Education and Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in hardware (electronics) design and product engineering.
- Experience in a regulated environment, adhering to FDA, CE, and other industry standards.
- Background in ISO9001 / ISO 13485 and cGMP environments, including design documentation, risk management, and validation processes.
- Experience in obtaining and maintaining IEC 60601-1 ed. 3.1 certification.
- Expertise in risk assessment and FMEA according to ISO 14971.
- Strong planning, scheduling, and organizational skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including root-cause analysis methodologies.
