Position Summary

Working as a Self‑Checkout Attendant at Walmart Canada is a great way to develop your skills in the retail industry. You will provide exceptional customer service, assist customers in processing transactions through the self‑service area(s), and maintain a positive shopping experience.

What You’ll Do

• Keep the area neat, clean and organized, free of fixtures, debris, foreign objects, and liquids.
• Educate customers on the correct and efficient use of self‑service options.
• Promote company sponsor programs, such as credit card service, product protection and charity initiatives.
• Observe customer activities to determine when assistance is needed.
• Explain reasons for self‑service interventions and quality checks, reassuring customers that this is normal protocol.
• Demonstrate knowledge about responding to EAS alarms and completing the “Failure to Deactivate” Log.
• Notify the Customer Service Manager when the self‑service area is low on cash or encounters a technical issue.
• Return Scan & Go scanners to their home after use.

Age - 16 or older
