Weighmaster (Night Shift)

This role gives aperson great exposure to multiple aspects of the industry.
Schedule : Night shift 5 : 00pm to 1 : 30am
What will you do?
- Data entry of each purchase and sale ticket in thecomputerized scale system, which includes scaling inbound and outboundmaterials and directing drivers to the appropriate loading dock or tipping area
- Ensure the recyclable materials brought in are safe and donot contain banned material
- Work closely with the external and internal customers toensure receiving and shipping schedules are completed, and documentations arecorrect
- Must be able to communicate effectively and professionallyvia email and telephone
- Accurately perform routine data entry into a computer, makeaccurate basic mathematical calculations, and accurately post and keep legiblerecords
- Ensures that customers and employees conduct all business ina safe manner and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- General office duties including filing, fielding calls, andother duties as required
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
- Reports to the plant supervisor and plant manager
What will you bring?
- Grade 12 or GED equivalency; job-related post-secondaryeducation considered an asset
- Previous experience as a scale attendant is an asset
- Proficiency in using MS Office (Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to multi-task and shift priorities as necessary
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Experience in the waste management and recycling industrypreferred
