As part of the Control System Support team this role is primarily responsible for the reliability and stability for HMI workstations and network infrastructure.

Secondary responsibilities will include supporting IT projects and operations projects.

Please note : The work location for this role is Kamloops.

What you will do :

Maintenance and Support :

Perform break-fixes on control systems, Ethernet network workstations, server platforms, and any additional network and control system applications.

Support the development, implementation, and management of preventative maintenance practices for operating systems and hardware.

Identify and investigate areas that may require system solutions or improvements.

Ensure backups of critical control system network equipment are maintained and up to date.

Follow standards and best practices with respect to the delivery and maintenance of systems.

Create and maintain the knowledge repository of network topology at all compressor facilities including network diagrams, processes, and procedures.

Management of Change :

Ensure that the TIS model regarding change management is followed.

Actively participate in any control system related changes and own the control system IT components.

Assist in the development, integration, implementation, and compliance of MOC policies as they relate to equipment and software systems.

Project Subject Matter Expert Support :

Participate in Expansion and Maintenance Capital projects for all control system related projects.

Assist the project team with the building, testing and deployment of a virtualized HMI solutions.

Who you are :

You have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.

You have a minimum of 4 years of directly related work experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Strong network administration, computer hardware, and OS troubleshooting with CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Server+, Cisco CNNA, and Microsoft certifications.

Experience with supporting Rockwell FactoryTalk control system application.

Previous SCADA / HMI and ICS experience.

Working knowledge of the following software packages, operating systems, and equipment : Windows server 2012 / 2016 / 2019, Windows 7 / 10;

VMWare; Veeam; Cisco switches; UPS and NAS systems; wide range of computer and server hardware.

Working knowledge of Industrial Control System architecture, risk assessment and change management processes.

Strong PC / Server software / hardware troubleshooting skills.

Strong Microsoft Office skills using Word, Excel, Visio, and Outlook.

Experience with Backup and Disaster and Recovery procedures.

Excellent time-management and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
