Do you have experience as a first responder who wants to transition into a sales Career? Do you have previous experience selling PPE to these channels?

Lock Search Group is currently working on finding Sales Specialists who will be selling to the Fire and Rescue space. Our client is a recognizable national leader and is looking for someone who brings strong communication and presentation skills and has that hunter mentality within the Eastern Canadian market.

The region of this role will cover Eastern Canada so local travel will be part of the job.

The Sales Specialists will collaborate closely with the Regional Sales Manager to identify and target potential end-users, utilizing both direct and indirect sales channels to maximize results.

Building and nurturing relationships with key customers and decision-makers in the Fire Service market is crucial, supported by thorough pre-call research.

Additionally, fostering strong partnerships with distributor partners across various levels within accounts is essential, including training and motivating their personnel.

Utilizing various tools such as CRM and Microsoft Office will be vital for maintaining accurate records. Overall, the focus is on driving sales growth and increasing brand recognition for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Fire Training Solutions.

Responsibilities :

  • Collaborating closely with Regional Sales Managers to pinpoint and engage potential target end-users.
  • Strategically prioritizing accounts and opportunities across both direct and indirect sales channels to yield optimal outcomes.
  • Cultivating and nurturing relationships with key customers and end-users within the Fire Service market.
  • Conducting thorough research during pre-call planning to pinpoint key decision-makers and influencers.
  • Coordinating with internal stakeholders to cultivate robust relationships with distributor partners at various levels within accounts, including sales personnel, managers, and key decision-makers.
  • Providing training and motivation to distributor personnel on product and service usage.
  • Effectively leveraging provided tools such as CRM, email, Microsoft Office, and presentation software to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Holding responsibility for driving sales revenue growth and increasing brand visibility for the range of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Fire Training Solutions.
  • Demonstrating a proactive approach in identifying new opportunities within major competitor accounts.

Qualifications :

  • Prefer Completion of a Post-Secondary diploma or degree.
  • 3-5 years of sales experience, particularly in selling equipment or products to the Fire Service or industrial segments.
  • Must have strong communication skills as selling to groups in person is key.
  • Experience in selling equipment to municipalities in a competitive market will be taken into consideration.
  • A solid background in the fire service, either currently active or in past roles, is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with live fire training systems and a working understanding of NFPA standards for training and protective equipment.
  • Previous or current experience as a firefighter or first responder is a plus.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
  • Ability to comprehend the technical aspects of products and their practical applications.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Valid international travel documents are mandatory.
