Our Shop Foreman plays a key part in ensuring maximum productivity within our shop. You will assist with the coordination of the workload in our service department to ensure a smooth flow. You will also be tasked with providing training and direction to the technicians to support with development, efficiency and accuracy in their work. This role consists of :
Mentoring and training apprentice and service techniciansLiaising with service manager in the planning, scheduling, arrangement of parts and efficiency of repairs in the shopMaintain a high level of quality control by inspecting repairs to ensure that the quality, workmanship and cleanliness is up to standard as requiredMaintain a safe work environment through day-to-day observation as well as participation in safety meetingsSupport with customer service where service manager or technicians are unavailableMaintaining a current knowledge of John Deere and competitive equipmentKeep all service shop tools up to standard and advise service manager of any repairs or replacements requiredParticipate in on-call and overtime hours to ensure a high level of customer service in the departmentRequirements
What you bring :
5-10 years of experience within a mechanic shop, preferably focused on agriculture equipmentCertified Red Seal agriculture technicianThe ability to supervise, coach and mentor apprentice techniciansExperience providing constructive feedback and coaching in the momentStrong attention to detailHigh level of organizational and scheduling abilitiesProblem solving skills and the ability to come up with creative solutionsBenefits
