Quality Assurance Developer Intern

If our solutions are flawless, without glitches, bugs or downtime, it’s because our thorough and dedicated Quality Assurance (QA) professionals work closely with our Research & Development teams to minimize problems, increase efficiency, and automate testing phases.

To offer innovative services and quality software solutions, the team is constantly adjusting to industry best practices in QA.

We are seeking a highly motivated intern who will use their skills to perfect the art of test automation. If you are meticulous and interested in assessing risk and preventing defects in code, this is the internship for you.

What your typical day would look like :

• You start your day off with a team meeting (scrum) to track the progress on the team’s different projects and elevate each other by sharing innovative ideas.
• Afterwards, you immediately connect to a QA guild meeting with your mentor and our quality assurance experts from the other R&D teams.

Today the meeting is about test automation for user interface (UI), you learn from the expertise of your teammates.

• When you come back from lunch, you automate some test scenarios on the current project. You make sure you're in line with what the rest of the team thinks about and you go for it.
• Following that, you take one of the existing tests written in Cypress and convert it into Playwright. As the Coveo team is more familiar with Playwright, you’re helping to increase the productivity of employees.
• The day is coming to an end! You take some time to document the steps you completed. We want you to help us standardize our testing practices and make sure it’s captured for the team to reference.

Here's what will qualify you for the role :

• You are currently enrolled in a computer science or software engineering program.
• You have experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
• You have a strong interest in QA.
• You have a sense of ownership; always finding ways to learn and keep up with current trends.
• Curious by nature, you ask questions attempting to understand what you don’t know.

Here’s what will make you stand out :

• You have previous experience in test automation; such as Selenium WebDriver, Nightwatch, Cypress or Playwright.
• You have knowledge of Jenkins and Selenium.
• You’re always looking for new challenges by participating in hackathons!
• Great organizational and time management skills.
