Key Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Move, assemble, install machinery / equipment shafting, precision bearings, gear boxes, motors, mechanical clutches, conveyors, and tram rails;

using hoists, pulleys, dollies, rollers, and trucks.

• Diagnose and trouble shoot electrical, electronic, pneumatic components / circuits.
• Replace / repair parts to improve reliability and follow up after repair.
• Operate and maintain utility equipment including air compressors, power transformers, scissor lift, fire alarm system.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment to determine worn out parts before failure and plan to replace, keep records.
• Perform lock-out and tag out system.
• Knowledge of Autonomous maintenance and follow up.
• Implement energy conservative measures on energy incentive equipment.
• Maintain cost effective inventory system.
• Lean Manufacturing, IMS SYSTEM, HSE / WHMIS.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement efforts through standardized work to cut cost and improve productivity and quality.

Education / Experience

• Diploma in electro-mechanical
• 1+ years’ experience
• Trade Certificate an asset
• Working knowledge of lathes, milling machines and grinders
• Mechanically inclined and able to work at heights over 10 feet
• Knowledge of using hand and power tools
• Opportunity for overtime on short notice due to operational needs and occasional travel
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and clean Driver’s Abstract
• Knowledge of computer operating systems including excel, word
