Job Title : Material Handler - Afternoons

Job Description

This position involves handling materials within the warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in the movement and storage of materials.

Responsibilities

• Pick heavy parts weighing up to 50lbs using the reach (full extended fork) and counterbalance equipment.
• Bend and pick up units, and convert all skids onto the rack system.
• Pick materials from shelves and place them on skids before moving them onto racks.
• Load, unload, move, and store a variety of incoming materials.
• Receive and deliver products in a timely manner.
• Work with Planners, Buyers, and other intra-office personnel to maintain inventory and process shipments.
• Operate forklift trucks to move materials and stack loaded pallets, and load outgoing trucks using hand trucks, lift trucks, or overhead cranes.
• Maintain in-process inventory at work centers by delivering materials on a timely basis.
• Assist in troubleshooting transactional and / or procedural problems related to inventory accuracy.
• Perform appropriate transactions efficiently and accurately on the current business system.
• Count, weigh, or measure incoming or outgoing orders and compare against bills of lading and / or invoices for accuracy.
• Provide backup to shipping and receiving as required.
• Pack, seal, and label materials for shipment.
• Adhere to shipping and receiving policies / procedures, and regulatory compliance procedures.

Eligible for profit sharing after 1 year with the company, which can range from $2-4K as an end-of-year bonus.

Work Environment

The position is in a medium-sized manufacturing company. The shift is from 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM for training (approximately 1 month), and then shifts to 3 : 30 PM to 12 : 00 AM for afternoon work.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brampton, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $21.50 / hr.

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Brampton,ON.
