ENVIRONMENT ARTIST (Console Games & Video Game)
ENVIRONMENT ARTIST
- Start date ASAP.
- Contract term : 18 months
- Work Location : Hybrid or full-time in studio. Hybrid is defined as 3 days in Vancouver Studio. For the team, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday (3 days).
Our client, a leading game studio, is seeking an inspiring, highly motivated Environment Artist. In this position you will be collaborating with other members of the Environment Art Team, the Level Art Team and other departments to help make the artistic vision set out by art direction a reality.
Years of Experience Required - 3+ years of Environment Art in video games with at least one shipped title.
Key skills :
- Creation of 3d assets, high quality models & sculpts, textures and surfaces. Fixing bugs and polishing in-game assets.
- Model, sculpt and texture environmental assets and surfaces.
- Comfortable with organic and hard surface asset creation.
- Comfortable with Maya or other 3D software, Z-Brush, Substance Painter or Mixer, and Photoshop.
Responsibilities :
- Contribute to the Environment Art team during all phases of production.
- Creation of 3d assets, high quality models & sculpts, textures and surfaces. Fixing bugs and polishing in-game assets.
- Actively accept feedback from the environment art lead and art director.
- Offer support to our OS reviewers / managers, and external artists if needed.
- Ability to work well under deadlines; self-motivated and works well in collaborative environment.
