Process Engineer - Site Based Role

Our client is a leading Engineering, Procurement, Construction Company with expertise in oil sands, refining, petrochemicals and pipeline segments and covers both operational and engineering aspects.

Currently we are recruiting for a Red Deer, AB.

We are seeking motivated self-starters and team contributors with 10+ years of progressive engineering experience, 10+ years’ Canadian experience, 2-3 years’ leadership experience within an EPCM / industrial plant environment to join our team. Successful candidates are committed to delivering fit-for-purpose approaches and designs for our clients and proven experience & proficiency with :

3 days / week on site, 2 days a week remote (from home or in office in Calgary or Edmonton). There may be some flexibility in this schedule.

Accountabilities

• Develop turnaround packages, with an emphasis on replacing or upgrading PSVs, possible including
• Evaluating contingencies, determining relief loads, sizing PSVs and their inlet & outlet piping. Familiarity and experience with working with overpressure protection and sizing PSVs is a must
• Updating information is an IPRSM database (so knowledge of IPRSM is an asset)
• Updating and authenticating P&IDs and LDTs
• Support for Risk Assessments
• Hazard mitigation action follow-up
• Data Sheet and design support for static / rotating / fired equipment
• Hydraulic calculations
• Pressure regulator sizing and calc's
• Providing process input to datasheets
• Searching for and gathering the information required for this, whether from drawings, databases, contacting people.
• Directing and checking the work of an EIT supporting this work
