At EY, we’re all in to shape your future with confidence. We’ll help you succeed in a globally connected powerhouse of diverse teams and take your career wherever you want it to go. Join EY and help to build a better working world.

The opportunity

As part of EY’s All in strategy, we are seeking an experienced Talent Consultant to support the set-up and launch of the new Managed Services practice across all service lines. This role will work closely with the Managed Services Leader and leadership team who are driving the strategic direction and operational excellence of the firm’s managed service offerings, ensuring we deliver outstanding value and efficiency to our clients.

This role acts as a talent advisor and the first point of contact for senior leaders and key stakeholders, providing deep talent expertise and operational support to enable the successful build‑out of this new and evolving business. A key focus of this role will be on sourcing and recruiting candidates for day-to-day operational roles.

This is a 12‑month contract or secondment opportunity, reporting to the EY Canada Deputy Talent Director.

The incumbent will bring strong capability in navigating ambiguity and partnering with Talent Centers of Expertise (COEs), service line and global teams to shape and execute the talent strategy for this rapidly scaling practice.

Your key responsibilities

  • Partner closely with senior leaders across the Managed Services practice to design, implement, and deliver talent initiatives that support the business strategy and growth, with a specific emphasis on recruiting for operational roles.
  • Advise leaders on organizational design, role architecture, compensation, career pathways, and talent planning, in collaboration with the applicable Talent COEs, Super Region / Global Talent.
  • Work with the Talent Acquisition team to define hiring needs and support recruitment for priority operational roles within the practice, utilizing tailored strategies to attract candidates with the right skills and experience.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on talent matters, including performance, engagement, and team effectiveness.
  • Serve as the first point of contact on employee relations matters; manage and upscale issues appropriately.
  • Coordinate key talent processes such as performance management, compensation planning, onboarding / integration, workforce planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Partner with Learning & Development Consultants on the implementation of learning programs tailored to operational roles.
  • Collaborate with Talent Shared Services to ensure efficient handling of administrative activities.
  • Act as a driver and change champion, thriving in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment and supporting the implementation of high‑impact talent processes.
  • Build strong, trust‑based relationships with leaders and employees across the practice, ensuring a deep understanding of the operational environment and its unique talent needs.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years relevant experience in an HR Business Partner or Talent Consultant role, with a strong emphasis on recruitment and managing talent for day-to-day operational roles in a complex, new start‑up business environment.
  • Experience advising on organizational structures, job design, compensation, and career frameworks, with a focus on operational roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively and quickly in an evolving environment with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
  • Strong business acumen, ideally with experience in industry or professional services and a solid understanding of the culture and dynamics of operational environments.
  • Excellent relationship‑building, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise strong judgment in decision‑making.
  • Highly motivated, driven, analytical, detail‑oriented, and adaptable team player.
  • Experience with high-volume hiring processes for operational roles.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English, French) is preferred, as we aim to source and hire candidates who can effectively engage with our diverse client base.
  • Fluency in English is required due to interaction with clients nationally and globally.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with strong connections to the talent market in New Brunswick including industry networks, and connections to educational institutions and colleges.
  • What we offer

We offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business.

  • Support and coaching from some of the most engaging colleagues in the industry.
  • Learning opportunities to develop new skills and progress your career.
  • The freedom and flexibility to handle your role in a way that’s right for you.
  • Are you ready to shape your future with confidence? Apply today.

To help create the best experience during the recruitment process, please describe any accommodations you may need.
