Web Designer

We seek a proficient and creative web designer to join our team at Dr. Marketing. As a web designer, you will be responsible for envisioning and creating compelling and responsive cross-platform websites, mobile applications and digital interfaces optimised for various screen sizes and operating systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for design, a passion for user experience, and the technical skills to create visually appealing and functional websites.

You will work with the marketing and project team and clients to deliver innovative and user-friendly web designs that align with our clients’ brands and objectives.

Duties And Responsibilities

We are seeking a creative and skilled Web Designer to join our dynamic team. As a Web Designer, you will play a key role in crafting visually stunning and highly functional websites that align with our clients' preferences and brand values.

Your primary responsibilities will include :

• Website Design : Create engaging and visually appealing website designs based on client preferences, including color schemes, fonts, and overall style.
• Wireframes and Mock-ups : Develop navigation-friendly wireframes, websites, and mock-ups that are not only user-friendly but also persuasive and aesthetically pleasing.
• Graphics Creation : Curate and design user-friendly graphics that enhance the visual appeal and functionality of the client’s website.
• Responsive Design : Build responsive templates that work seamlessly across desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and tablets.
• Layout and Branding : Design and implement website layouts, logos, and branding elements that reflect the brand's values and resonate with the target audience.
• Visual Brand Strategy : Propose and execute a cohesive visual brand strategy for the company's website, blog, social media channels, and other digital assets.
• Custom Duda Themes : Design and develop custom Duda themes tailored to the client's needs.
• Industry Trends : Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in website design to ensure our designs are current and innovative.
• Backup Management : Ensure the safety and integrity of website files by creating and maintaining backup copies.
• Graphic Desig n : Create functional graphics, digital proofs, and visual concepts that captivate and inspire users.
• Collaboration : Work closely with product managers to develop and execute design plans that align with the client’s product vision and marketing objectives.
• Marketing Support : Assist the marketing team in developing visual assets such as landing pages, advertisements, brochures, flyers, catalogues , and other designs as required .

Requirements

Qualifications :

• Proven experience in web design and graphic design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in previous projects.
• Proficiency in design software and tools, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), Sketch, Figma, and other relevant design tools.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, Duda, and WordPress theme development.
• Familiarity with website development languages such as JavaScript.
• Experience with responsive design, UI / UX interface design, and user experience principles.
• Competency in handling content management systems (CMS) like WordPress.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a keen eye for design and composition.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively present design ideas and concepts.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Requirements and Skills :

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Junior Web Designer or Graphic Designer.
• Practical knowledge of design tools such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or Sketch.
• Strong understanding of color theory, typography, layout design, and usability principles, especially for websites.
• Proficiency in graphic design and a sense of how different elements work together on a web page.
• Creative thinker with excellent visual communication skills and design multimedia skills.
• Experience with desktop publishing tools, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
• Social media and email marketing experience is a plus.
