Description
We are working with a Canadian Insurance company that is looking to add to their AB team. This role is fully remote with the odd trip to the office from meetings or training etc.
As an Accident Benefits Adjuster, you'll work from the comfort of your home in Ontario, taking on the following responsibilities :
- Conduct thorough investigations, evaluations, negotiations, settlements, and administration of all accident benefit claims.
- Skillfully handle both MIG and non-MIG files, up to the point of CAT (Catastrophic Impairment).
- Although this role does not include ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution), you'll have opportunities to participate in mediations, arbitrations, and discoveries as valuable learning experiences.
Qualifications :
- Possess post-secondary education.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience handling AB claims is required.
- Showcase strong negotiation skills to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of SABS (Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule).
- Excel in communication with excellent written and verbal skills.
- Exhibit strong general computer knowledge.
- Possession of CIP (Chartered Insurance Professional) designation or working towards it is considered an asset.
