Join RONA as a Manager, DC Inventory to support our Distribution Centers and Direct Delivery Centers across Canada.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement cost‑saving opportunities, protect inventory by monitoring new product introductions, controlling damages, and mitigating obsolescence.
• Plan, develop and implement data‑driven inventory methods.
• Create an annual distribution‑center / DDC inventory budget by allocating the corporate budget into predetermined cost buckets.
• Monitor facility budgets regularly against inventory adjustment costs, damages, and miscellaneous costs to ensure the facility remains at or below budget target.
• Manage up to $300 million of inventory across all sites, ensuring inventory accuracy through vendor compliance, receiving issues, inventory adjustments, cycle counting, shrink investigation, PO transfers, and related activities.
• Conduct internal finance inventory audits and coordinate external consultant year‑end audits.
• Create volume inventory forecasts (SKU management, slotting, shrink & obsolescence forecasts).
• Perform analyses to explain and justify inventory discrepancies (cost variance, inventory turnover, obsolescence, ABC analysis, storage capacity).
• Develop, manage, and monitor distribution‑center performance reports on inventory accuracy, cost, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Collaborate as a business partner and DC inventory advisor with Supply Chain, Finance and Merchandising for ongoing transformation projects.
• Mentor supervisors, monitor their performance, and set them up for success; achieve or exceed key performance, safety, and budget targets.
