Summary
Under the direction of the Surveillance Manager & Surveillance Supervisor, the Surveillance Operator is responsible, including but not limited to, monitoring surveillance footage to ensure the security and integrity of casino operations, staff members and our guests and patrons. This position ensures compliance with Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis Commission (AGLC) and house regulations. This involves promptly reporting any irregularities or disturbances to your manager or security team for investigation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor live video feeds to identify and report any suspicious or unauthorized activity on the casino floor, gaming areas, and other designated areas.
- Maintain strict confidentiality is essential for this role.
- Conduct routine visual patrols and observations with the use of the surveillance system to maintain vigilance and detect potential security breaches or violations of company policies.
- Operate advanced surveillance equipment and software to capture and record footage for review and investigation.Collaborate with security and management teams to respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and other security-related concerns.
- Observes participants in table games to detect cheating, identify rule violators, and monitor persons designated as suspicious or 'persons of interest'.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of observations, incidents, and actions taken during shifts.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to surveillance and security operations.
- Perform any additional tasks as required or instructed to ensure the overall success and smooth operation of the casino.
Education, Qualification and Requirements
A minimum of high school or equivalent (GED) is required.At least one (1) year of previous surveillance experience is preferred, although such experience is not necessary.Previous casino experience is preferred.Must be at least 18 years of age or older.AGLC gaming licensing is a requirement for this position, which includes a criminal record check.Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and the internet.Excellent observation skills with strong attention to detail.Must possess the ability to multitask effectively and demonstrate motivation and willingness to learn.Work Environment
