Communications Specialist

Our Kingsville Headquarters is currently seeking a Communications Specialist to join our Marketing Team. The essential function of this position is managing internal & external communications and social media programs to enhance the SUNSET brand and build our profile.

This position will also lead all processes for internal brand management.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Leads and manages the organization's communications planning and relationships with Trade media
• Collaborates with a cross-functional team to develop and execute the communications plan, including brand management, graphic designers, HR, merchandising, philanthropy and events teams
• Writes and edits all internal and external content, including company newsletters, trade communications, media releases, website and communications
• Manages all Communications projects, such as newsletters, calendars, and other brand collateral
• Supports and attends trade shows

Position Requirements :

• Post-secondary degree required, preferably in the fields of Communications, Journalism or Marketing
• 5 years’ experience in a Communications or Content Creation role
• Excellent writer and strong ability to edit and proofread
• Strong project management and analytical skills with a focus on results; a keen eye for detail
• Must be a team player that can work autonomously, recognizing resources and meeting deadlines
