Our client, a leading global provider of paper-based packaging solutions, is seeking an experienced Shipper / Receiver (Material Handler) to work with the Warehouse team on the afternoon shift.
This position is responsible for pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies, and prepare finished goods
for shipment by identifying, wrapping, staging, and storing product in our facility.
Employment Type : Full Time, Permanent
Payrate : $23.98( to start ) increase to $24.58 in September
Shift premiums apply .
Shift : Monday to Thursday : 3 : 00 PM to 10 : 30 PM
Friday : 12 : 30 PM to 5 : 30 PM
Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods.

Responsibilities
- Inspect forklift daily at the start of shift ensuring all safety features are operational
- Safe operation of forklift, moving materials throughout the facility. Assure all materials shipped and warehoused are handled in a manner that prevents damage
- At the request of the Bindery team receive FG, wrap and put away in racks daily
- Load and unload trucks; warehouse products and materials
- Use an RF scanner for receipts, issues to lines, returns and bar code locations
- Verify all counts, quantities and descriptions of products and materials received, shipped or warehoused
- Service Press department, delivering product and / or components as requested
- Timely and accurate completion of paperwork associated with the movement of product and materials
- Responsible for the general cleanliness of the warehouse and the loading docks
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a Material Handler preferably in a manufacturing or production industry
- Valid Forklift (ie. Counterbalance- forward, Reach- forward,Walkie- both) Certificate required.The trucks are both electric and propane.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office (ie. Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) considered an asset.
- Ability to adapt to changes in priorities, work independently and with a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand and walk 100% of shift on a concrete floor and ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
- Must be able to maintain good attendance.
