This innovative Technology-based company located in GTA West is seeking a Senior Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer-Cybersecurity with strong expertise in cybersecurity to join their team.
In this role, you will be a key player in driving their cybersecurity solutions to success. Collaborating closely with their sales team, you will provide technical expertise, address customer inquiries, and ensure their clients receive the best cybersecurity solutions tailored to their needs.
Responsibilities :
- Provide technical expertise and support to the sales team during the pre-sales process
- Educate clients on the features and benefits of our products and services
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific data security needs and tailor solutions accordingly
- Conduct product demonstrations and proof of concept presentations to showcase the effectiveness of our cybersecurity solutions
- Act as an SME and trusted advisor to clients, offering guidance on cybersecurity best practices and helping clients make informed decisions
- Design and build a 'Bill of Materials' detailing the integration and deployment of our client's solutions into their client's environment, ensuring a seamless transition
Requirements :
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of OSI model layers, protocols, and network fundamentals, specifically layer 7 (Application Layer) (eg.
HTTP / HTTPS, FTP / SFTP, SMTP, DNS, etc.)
- Experience with the concepts of deploying Firewalls, Load Balancers, Proxies, Content Delivery Networks and / or WAFs
- Practical understanding of reverse and forward proxies, along with their applications
- Performance and Security aspects in internet properties, addressing Speed, Latency, Caching, HTTP / 2, and TLSv1.3 as well as Firewalls, Zero Trust, Bot Management, etc.
- Bonus : Familiarity with or hands-on experience in navigating regulatory requirements such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, and SOC-2
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences
- Customer-focused mindset with a dedication to ensuring client satisfaction
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address client needs effectively
- Collaborative attitude with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with sales processes and a desire to contribute to sales growth
