Mobile Equipment Supervisor (Belleville, Ontario)
Are you ready to lead a dedicated and committed Maintenance Department? Our client is looking for a Mobile Equipment Supervisor with a meticulous and organized approach to preventative and autonomous maintenance.
As the Mobile Equipment Supervisor, you will create a safe working environment and oversee our team of Mobile Mechanics and Millwrights as needed.
You’ll plan, budget, and manage small projects aimed at upgrading plant equipment, as well as troubleshoot and find more efficient solutions for equipment issues.

- Current schedule can be Monday to Friday eight (8) hour days or four (4) ten (10) hour days. Schedule can be subject to change based on business needs.
What You’ll Do
- Supervise maintenance crews and outside contractors for each job to ensure timely and high-quality completion.
- Proactively manage employee health and safety, aiming to continuously improve the company's safety performance.
- Foster development and motivation within the team, building a skilled and dependable workforce.
- Manage urgent or breakdown maintenance as needed to maintain equipment operation and minimize downtime.
- Offer technical support to the maintenance team for efficient problem resolution.
- Create work schedules, set priorities for mechanical expenses, and establish procedures for equipment maintenance.
- Plan a weekly work schedule for a team of three mobile mechanics.
- Track material use and acquisition to achieve productivity and budget goals.
- Oversee the mobile equipment maintenance function and some fixed assets, supervising Millwrights as needed.
- Ensure compliance through organized processes, corporate guidelines, training, and compliance monitoring.
What We Are Looking For
- Extensive experience in equipment repair and maintenance, with a background in supervisory roles.
- Heavy-Duty Mechanic license is an asset.
- In-depth knowledge of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance practices.
- Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record in team management and motivation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project); SAP experience preferred
Work Environment
Role operates in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions.
Must be able to work in Canada without sponsorship.
