Position Summary
We are looking for a Short Range Wireless Field Application Engineer (FAE) to support customers using Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, SOM(NXP I.MX), and other short‑range wireless technologies. This role focuses on wireless bring‑up, RF performance optimization, and system‑level debugging for North American customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for short‑range wireless modules (Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, combo modules, SOM(NXP I.MX)).
- Support Wi‑Fi / Bluetooth bring‑up, firmware integration, and platform debugging.
- Assist customers with antenna integration, RF layout review, and performance optimization (TRP / TIS).
- Troubleshoot connectivity, throughput, coexistence, and stability issues.
- Support regulatory and certification testing (FCC, ISED, PTCRB).
- Work closely with internal RF, firmware, and R&D teams to resolve complex issues.
- Deliver technical training and documentation to customers and internal teams.
- Travel to US customer sites as needed (~10%).
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or related field.3+ years of experience in wireless, RF, or FAE roles.Solid understanding of Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth fundamentals.Experience with wireless bring‑up and debugging.Basic understanding of antenna concepts and RF measurements.Strong analytical and communication skills.Fluent in English (written and spoken).Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with coexistence issues (Wi‑Fi / BT / LTE).Familiar with Linux and RTOS system.Experience working with certification labs.Mandarin is a plus.Seniority level
