Margaret's Bay Road Suite 103 in Upper Tantallon, NS)
Lifemark Health Group is seeking a personable and confident Registered Counselling Therapist* to join our awesome team at our Lifemark Physiotherapy Tantallon clinic
Your day :
- Provide clients with assessment, consultation and psych educational services
- Active participation in regular team conferences involving client and members of the interdisciplinary teams
- Communicate effectively with staff members, clients, employers, referral sources, family members and other counsellors
- Psychological case management input and direction to the therapy teams pertaining to initial assessment, treatment planning, clients' progress, conflict resolution, stakeholder discussions and problem solving, and discharge planning
- Quality reporting and communication
- Orientation and mentoring to assist other team members to effectively manage clients' psycho-social issues
Qualifications / Experience :
- Master's in counseling or clinical psychology
- 2 years + experience
- 1 year of experience in a Return-to-Work setting
- Professional registration with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists (NSCCT)*
- Ability to use creative and structured approaches to assist clients to self-manage
- Ability to write clear and comprehensive reports and other correspondence
- Ability to communicate using different styles and methods to suit individual clients and situations
- Experience with chronic pain, and / or post concussive symptoms is an asset.
- Registered Social Workers in the Province of Nova Scotia will also be considered.
