Senior Application Developer

MatchBox is urgently seeking an experienced Senior Application Developer for a 2‑month contract to design, develop, and support integration‑driven healthcare applications. The ideal candidate will have strong backend development skills, experience with modern DevOps practices, and deep familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 v2 and FHIR. You will work closely with architects, integration specialists, and QA teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high‑quality solutions in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust application and integration components using best practices.
• Build and support healthcare data integrations using HL7 v2, HL7XFER, and FHIR.
• Develop and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas, queries, and performance.
• Deploy and manage applications on OpenShift (Kubernetes‑based platforms).
• Implement authentication and authorization using Keycloak.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to build and maintain CI / CD pipelines using GitHub and GitHub Actions.
• Ensure code quality through automated testing, code reviews, and static / dynamic analysis.
• Create and execute API and integration tests using ReadyAPI.
• Support test management and quality reporting using Xray.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex application and integration issues.
• Produce clear technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing across teams.
