John Gavel Custom Manufacturing ltd. is looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to support our accounting operations and keep our business running smoothly. This position is ideal for someone who is experienced in bookkeeping, comfortable working independently, and familiar with the unique requirements of a busy manufacturing environment.

However, we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Perform daily bookkeeping functions including A / P and A / R entry, invoicing, inventory updates, and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations, including reconciliation of POS machine reports.
• Process vendor payments — through direct deposit, with occasional cheque payments.
• Receive and record customer payments through multiple methods.

Government Remittances & Compliance

Ensure all required government filings are accurate, up-to-date, and submitted on time, including :
