About Product Management :

The Product Management team is responsible for understanding core and emerging markets and applications, while defining product strategy and requirements to meet the needs of OEM customers.

We strive to offer standardized products, with a feature set that appeals to a wide range of needs.

Position Summary :

Reporting to the Director of Product Management, the Senior Product Manager plays a key role in establishing the product roadmap, developing new products for the company as well as increasing the profitability of existing products.

This individual will be working tightly with Sales & Engineering to define and develop solutions to drive growth in both existing and new markets.

The ideal candidate for this role will be an organized, communicative, and pragmatic individual with the proven ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Previous OEM customer experience, 10+ years of product management experience and project management capabilities are vital for success in this position.

Specific Duties :

  • Manage the product life cycle from strategic business case planning to product launch and customer training / product support to end of life planning.
  • Identify customer needs and develop the business case rationale to secure the Engineering resources to profitably develop and launch products or product features to meet these requirements.
  • Conduct technical and business market research with customers, prospects and other stakeholders to understand evolving customer needs and market trends.
  • Maintain customer integrity, be a visible champion and voice of the customer within the company, ensuring customer requirements are met and issues are resolved to completion.
  • Manage and communicate OEM customer project schedules / timelines, problem resolution progress and customer expectations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals.
  • Track and report on general business indicators including revenue, product margin, market share, product return rates and relevant competitors.
  • Travel with team members to meet with key customers and present product portfolios and future product roadmaps.
  • Attend tradeshows to demonstrate our products and product capabilities while sourcing feedback to relay back to internal teams.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements

  • 10 or more years of proven experience as a Product Manager in a hardware-oriented technical environment
  • Relevant education in Engineering, Business, Marketing or relevant discipline.
  • Experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills including the ability to present persuasively with confidence.
  • The ability to communicate with openness and transparency both across the organisation and with new and existing customers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to lead challenging conversations.
  • Proven ability to seek out and assimilate information from multiple sources.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new ideas, concepts and changes.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to hold internal and external stakeholders to program timelines and deliverables.
  • Thorough knowledge and experience with MS Office, JIRA and PLM systems.
  • Ability to travel to the USA, Europe, Asia and India to visit OEM customers and trade partners up to 20% of the time.

  • Experience employing lean development and manufacturing principles.

Benefits

Base Salary Range : $134,000 - $155,100 CAD per year plus bonus.

The compensation offered will be determined by experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skills.

Only in special circumstances, where candidates demonstrate the experience and skills needed to exceed those required for the position, would Delta-Q consider paying above the range for this role.
