Job Description
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment in accordance with standardized procedures
- Programs and maintains PLC’s, ensuring that programming meets the requirements established for the effective operation of production equipment.
- Operate within a multi-skilled environment to maintain the plant’s machinery and equipment, while improving processes to minimize disruption to the production line
- Connects wiring and hydraulic lines to install electrical and hydraulic components
- Preparing and maintaining records of program changes, building electrical upgrades and equipment electrical upgrades. Maintain daily record of work completed.
- Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing to professionally install new equipment.
- Perform other maintenance duties as assigned to meet departmental responsibilities
Ideal Qualifications :
- 442A Industrial Electrician Certificate or 309A Electrician Construction and Maintenance Certificate
- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Background in troubleshooting PLC and computer controlled equipment
- Experienced with control wiring and trouble shooting.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
