Sr Electrical Engineer
We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Newmarket, Canada team! As the Sr Electrical Engineer for our Nuclear Division QualTech NP Newmarket team, you must design, develop, and test a wide range of electrical components and equipment for projects related to the nuclear industry.
You will play a vital role within the assigned business segment supporting project schedules, customer deliverables, and overall Curtiss-Wright objectives.

Your Challenge :
Review and understand a wide variety of large and complex customer purchase orders, technical specifications, and quality assurance requirements and translate that into design, procurement, qualification, and testing documents.
Ensure compliance with customer purchasing requirements, technical specifications, and industry standards & regulations. Determine design approaches and parameters for testing and qualifying equipment and systems.
Anticipate and mitigate potential failure modes to improve probability of successful results.
Facilitate factory acceptance tests, document and evaluate results of a wide variety of electrical and electromechanical components and systems.
Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and review vendor capability to support product compliance and verification.
Lead technical support of failure investigations and support bid responses.
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with the company Quality Program and Nuclear regulatory requirements.
Work collaboratively with all team members to achieve project objectives including safety, quality, and customer schedule.
Serve as a mentor for less experienced staff, assist others in resolution of complex challenges.
Work safely in accordance with company policy at all times.
What You Bring :
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
Professional Engineering license required.
Minimum 3+ years of related experience, regulated industry experience preferred.
Excellent organization and communication (written and oral) skills.
High attention to detail.
Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office experience.
