Senior Boomi Integration Developer / API Engineer

Location : Burnaby, BC (3x onsite a week)

Employment Type : Contract

Pay Rate : CAD$40 - $50 / HR INC

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end development and delivery ownership of Boomi APIs.
• Design, develop, and deploy integration processes and APIs using Boomi AtomSphere (Cloud, Molecule, and Atom runtimes).
• Independently handle the end-to-end lifecycle from requirement analysis to UAT and production deployment.
• Create REST and SOAP APIs, connectors, and process orchestration workflows following API-first principles.
• Ensure reusability of components, modular design, and proper version control using Boomi best practices.
• Perform unit, integration, and regression testing of Boomi processes.
• Implement automated test frameworks and API monitoring tools.
• Manage multi-environment deployments using extensions, environment management, and CI / CD pipelines such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or Boomi Pipelines.
• Use Boomi deployment automation and environment promotion automation.
• Integrate Boomi with enterprise DevOps toolchains including Azure DevOps, Jira, and Bitbucket.
• Ensure traceability, rollback, and governance of all releases.
• Define and enforce Boomi design standards including naming conventions, error handling, logging, auditing, and exception management.
• Review integration designs for scalability and reusability.
• Maintain documentation for APIs, integration flows, and deployment pipelines.
• Participate in governance reviews to ensure platform stability and compliance.
• Work with architects, QA, and operations teams to deliver high-quality integration solutions.
• Mentor junior Boomi developers and guide them on design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Provide L3 production support and performance tuning for critical processes.
